As a Plant Controller, you will be providing the financial leadership to one of GPI’s largest converting plant with the aim of maximizing long-term value, cash flows and shareholder return in the Americas Converting Division. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in an Accounting / Finance role with a minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment and will provide accurate and timely financial reporting to ensure we meet our business objectives. In addition, this position will offer the opportunity to work with cross functional teams to analyze data, provide management with a fair assessment of key projects including how we can optimize it in a way that helps to generate superior business results for the company; as well as support continuous improvement activities to achieve world class financial reporting standards. 

 

 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

The Plant Controller is responsible for leading the financial function for the site and actively participates in the operations side of the business as a member of the plant leadership team.  He/she will ensure accurate and timely financial and management reporting; maintain a strong internal control environment; provide thorough analysis of the financial implication of operating decisions and issues; and prepare and present clear explanations of variances and financial results. Key financial processes include monthly close, P&L management, financial forecasts, and annual operating plans. He/she understands and aligns business operations and Finance as he/she executes his/her role to exceed customer expectations aligned with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES are, but not limited to the following:

 

Manage the finance process for the entire plant Manage the plant financial team, supervise inventory control, and partner with plant management to achieve financial and operating objectives Provide analytical support to promote continuous improvement for all activities and processes of the plant Analyze month end results: P&L and Balance Sheet, including variance analysis Develop month end results package for the Plant to present to Senior Management Provide monthly financial forecasts and analysis Provide key decision support to plant management Coordinate the plant annual budget process; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, with a complete understanding of all risks and opportunities Support all plant safety and operating initiatives Monitor and work with plant management to validate savings. Provide analytical support for cross functional projects, including but not limited to customer profitability analysis and pricing. Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures and policies Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits (primarily inventory and fixed assets); provide information to internal & external auditors

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Business-related field required Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated strengths in analysis, planning and forecasting Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience Demonstrated ability to drive P&L performance and autonomously lead the financial function for an operating plant Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Suite ERP systems experience required; SAP preferred Travel <5% 

 

 

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so. 

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours. Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs. Reading computer screen or other electronic devices. Use of various office hand and electronic tools or equipment.

 

Pay Range:   $87,660.00 - $146,160.00
