This position will partner with Operations to understand the drivers of expenses and financial variances versus the forecast and operational plan. Opportunities to support the site and provide clear information to help drive improvements in decision making and process is of high value as is the ability to clearly communicate trends, results and expectations to multiple organizational levels and functions. **In this role, you will:** Lead Financial & Operational Metrics Reporting: Develop and prioritize financial reporting, operational metrics, and appropriate production charts that provide visible clarity of gap analyses to the plant employees, support functions and manufacturing operations management to assess variances to the forecast, firm and/or commitments. Provide support and education to the plant and plant leadership team on all issues related to plant financial drivers, risks and opportunities Contribute to overall organizational effectiveness through building collaborative relationships and developing finance team, operations team, and plant leadership team financial capability across business functions. Drive proper accounting, financial representation and expense recognition at the cost center level. Inventory Control Leadership: Manage material and inventory control functions to include Cycle Count processes of both Finished Goods and Materials. Process Owner for 701 and supporting sites Internal Compliance processes to include: + Cycle Counts + NODDs + Month/Quarter/Fiscal Year End reconciliation + Confirmations Manage Financial Forecast & Close Process: Manage the monthly closing process for the plant. Preparation of the site budget, monthly, quarterly, annual forecasting, monthly analysis of site manufacturing cost, and the preparation & analysis of site and business level production and cost reports. Provide support to the Network Controller for quarterly forecast preparation for the operating division. Drive Process & Cost Improvement Work: Identify, lead, & support key cost initiatives to drive improved results, clarity and/or process improvements within the plant and Burt’s division Ensure Internal Controls Compliance: Drive proper accounting, financial representation and expense recognition at the cost center level. Ensure appropriate controls are in place and working in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other accounting laws. **What we look for:** + Bachelor’s degree (Finance or Accounting) with 5+ years of finance and accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment + SAP or other ERP systems experience + Forecast and accounting Close experience + Financial and management reporting experience + Auditing (Sarbanes-Oxley) experience required + Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP; thorough knowledge of financial reporting and experience in interpreting accounting and finance-related projects. + Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. + Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Analysis processes and procedures within a manufacturing environment. + Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion. + Demonstrated experience and ability in compiling annual operating plans and budgets. + Demonstrated advanced skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, pivot tables & V Lookups, and other financially-related and proprietary software). + Ability to work independently, creatively and efficiently with minimal direction in an unstructured environment. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). + Demonstrated ability to effectively interact, influence, and communicate with multiple levels of the organization. \#LI-ONSITE ​ **Workplace type:** Onsite **We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area. –Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100 –Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300 –Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600 All ranges are subject to change in the future.
