Ketjen, a fully owned subsidiary of Albemarle Corporation, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Controller to join our team in Amsterdam. The Plant Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate cost management, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will be an expert in standard costing, proficient in SAP and Excel, and have a strong background in variance analysis, overhead allocations, capital project accounting, and inventory reconciliation. Additionally, experience in a plant that serves multiple commercial markets or business lines is essential. This plant is part of our EU manufacturing operations for a US-based company. This position has a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. **Accountabilities** + Accurate and timely reporting of manufacturing costs. + Maintain processes and procedures to ensure no significant control issues or audit comments for which you are responsible for performing or overseeing. + Accurate and timely costs inputs for the Annual Operating Plans. + Manage multiple tasks and meet financial closing and reporting schedules. + Proper accounting and internal control procedures followed for all areas of responsibility. + Understanding all of the financial and operating aspects of the manufacturing areas of responsibility. + Clear, concise, and timely monthly closing of the manufacturing systems to meet the stated deadlines. + Timely and accurate response to requests for accounting information. + High quality financial support provided to all levels of management. **Responsibilities** + Maintain standard costing systems to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation. + Utilize SAP to manage manufacturing activities, enter financial data, perform analysis, and generate reports. + Conduct detailed variance analysis, including production order variance, production volume variance, Fixed and variable cost analysis, and overhead allocations. + Report Plant performance against operational and financial KPIs. + Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making. + Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting. + Monitor and control plant expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines. + Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive operational efficiency and profitability. + Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures. + Manage capital project accounting to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project costs. + Perform inventory reconciliation to maintain accurate inventory records and resolve discrepancies. **Required Skills and Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics or a related field; CA, CPA or CMA certification preferred. + 5+ years of proven experience as a Plant Controller or similar role in a manufacturing environment + Verbal and written fluency in English and Dutch + Expertise in standard costing and variance analysis. + Proficiency in SAP - Experience with manufacturing variances production order variance, overhead allocations, capital project accounting, and inventory reconciliation. + Proficient in Excel and preferred experience using Power BI. + Familiarity with international financial reporting standards (IFRS). + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. + Experience in a plant that serves multiple commercial markets or business lines. **Benefits of Joining Ketjen** + Competitive compensation + Comprehensive benefits package + A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.
