Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Plant Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing project management, work direction, and technical guidance on the engineering, operation, maintenance, and improvements for assigned key assets at the facility. This includes coordinating capital projects, major maintenance tasks, and facility upgrades during scheduled outages. Your expertise will help ensure the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operation of our facility.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Manage multi-faceted power plant related Capital Projects and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects utilizing established project management techniques within the constraints of scope, quality, schedule, and budget. Direct and coordinate technical and professional team members, consultants, and contractors in the design and execution of assigned projects. Provide technical support to the Outage Project Manager and other plant personnel as required, who are directly involved in the execution of scheduled maintenance outages at the facility. Participate in inspection of equipment during unit outages to provide technical direction and to make recommendations for corrective action. Partner with the Facility Manager, Operations Leader, and Maintenance Leader to provide technical direction and best practices for the maintenance and operation of the Facility to safely maximize performance and minimize environmental impact. Review requests and recommendations for equipment design or system operating changes. Initiate requests or direct changes to resolve operating problems. Oversee the troubleshooting of process control computer systems, plant systems, and/or equipment to safely optimize plant efficiency and reliability. Provide technical support for boiler and pressure vessel codes and other maintenance standards. Supply reports on assigned projects detailing status of project including schedule and cost updates. Network with industry professionals to share experiences and bring value to the overall execution of asset reliability projects.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, construction management, or a related field. A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project engineering, with experience in power generation or waste-to-energy facilities preferred. Strong knowledge of project management, including budgeting, scheduling and procurement. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure. Strong team collaboration skills, with the ability to align resources effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on clear and effective interpersonal communication. Proficient in PC-based software, including reporting tools, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, e-mail, and presentations. Complete a successful background check, drug/alcohol test and references.Working Conditions:
This position typically works Monday – Friday, however more hours may be required during scheduled outages. Hybrid work schedule available. This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position for drug, cannabis and alcohol testing purposes.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay: $109,280+ (dependent on experience and qualifications)
