A Day in the Life...
Provide for the timely and proper maintenance of the processing or packaging equipment and/or the physical plant and utilities of the facility on either an emergency or planned basis to minimize production lost time.Direct the activities of skilled maintenance employees by assigning work, monitoring those assignments and inspecting the repairs made.Maintain appropriate relationships to attain the goals of productivity, safety, cost, and quality.Support systems assuring that the necessary resources are committed to meet the business needs.Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering to generate improvement plans that feature both short and long-term improvements, with and without capital investment.Drive key initiatives throughout the facility in the areas of fixed asset management, plant layout & flow manufacturing, line constraint optimization, FDA/GMP/AIB/SQF compliance, safety and automation.Serve as key member of the plant leadership team in developing the plant’s strategic direction, establishing priorities and allocating resources.Support and promote food safety and quality program indicatives within the plant environment.What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field, or equivalent experience
Experience in manufacturing maintenance and engineering
Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
Knowledge of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Systems
Knowledge of fiscal budgeting principles and practices
Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Ability to lead and manage projects
Familiarity with food processing and packaging equipment
Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
Strong Organizational skills
Computer skills (MS Office)
Supervisory/Management skills with an emphasis on communication and interpersonal skills
Troubleshooting and ability to roll up sleeves and figure out problems while offering solutions
