The Role
Reporting to Alcoa’s Australia Regional Asset Integrity Assurance and Risk Management Lead, your role will be as an Inspector making up part of Alcoa’s asset integrity team. Your role will be drive in drive out (company vehicle provided) based on a 38-hour week with potential paid overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing in-service inspections of pressure equipment, with a view of being developed and trained to perform lifting equipment inspections on fixed cranes and lifting platforms Preparing inspection work scopes including any NDT required, reviewing the equipment history and reviewing all findings Preparing reports for the inspections performed on such equipment to the applicable code and client requirements Performing inspections and quality reviews as required by the applicable code and client requirements for both the construction of new pressure equipment, and the repair of existing pressure equipment as well as cranes and other registered plant.Forming part of a skilled and high performing inspection team, you will have the support of progressive and experienced management. The successful applicant will ideally have:
AICIP Certification is preferred and/or API 510 Working knowledge and experience of Australia’s pressure equipment standards, as well as Western Australia’s relevant regulations. Lifting equipment experience though desirable, is not essential as we intend to provide the successful candidate with access to the ALS lifting equipment, inspection training program Working knowledge and experience of NDT Inspection techniques as well as relevant industry experience with exposure to mining plantAbout Us
