Position Title: Plant Lead 2
Pay Rate: $29.47
Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time (Multi-Shifts, Monday – Friday, will work designated hours between Day and Swing Shift)

The Job You Will Perform:
Responsible for ensuring all safety, production processes, policies and standards, and quality expectations are met Responsible for ensuring all safety processes and policies are followed daily based on EHS and OSHA guidelines Execute daily objectives established by management by directing production employees and monitoring progress of assigned task Lead plant Safety Committee designed to improve safe working environment by implementing processes and training Serve as member of plant leadership team and a role model for employees regarding on-the-job behavior, integrity, fairness and positive work attitudes Serve as a functional Safety Coordinator, to ensure all plant EHS and OSHA documents are completed and maintained Ensure that plant employees are working in a safe manner Conduct daily toolbox meetings when plant management is not available Ensures the correct methods and procedures are followed and remain compliant with Employee Handbook at all times Assign daily production duties to plant personnel in the absence of management Ensure daily reports are accurately completed and submitted as required Ensure inventory levels are at or below target levels Ensure that bales are inspected and monitored for any quality, integrity or downgrade issues Ensure that trailer unloading meets quality and accuracy requirements as well as the 48 hour turn-around time from full to empty Ensure rail cars are loaded on-time per the rail load schedule Ensure daily plant housekeeping meets plant standards by coordinating housekeeping activities Ensure daily PM sheets are completed Maintain teamwork atmosphere for all employees Coordinate all activities for assigned area to include employee’s understanding of duties, shifting manpower needs, communicating of time constraints & assignments, completing supporting operational paperwork for all areas Perform inspection of wrap-up activities and attend briefings with Plant Superintendent and Plant Manager, to review operational concerns Maintain smooth, continuous, efficient operation, assisting team in any function/role as needed Communicate and document all contractor and visitor training Communicate PM needs to Manager and Superintendent Communicate any injuries, near-miss opportunities, or building damage immediately to management Perform inspection of wrap-up activities and attends briefings with Supervisor and Plant Manager, to review operational concerns Backfill any positions in the plant as needed Perform other duties as assigned Ability to attend PIT Training, Loader Training, Lock-out/Tag-Out Ability to operate/monitor the following equipment: Baler, In-feed Conveyors, Loader, Forklift Support the SRC in making sure all records are accurate for all inbound and outbound recycle materials

Must be 21 years of age Must be authorized to work in the United States Ability to work any shift as needed Ability to work overtime/weekends as needed Ability to read, write and speak English fluently Ability to use computers on daily basis to perform simple tasks of email communication, data entry on company’s software and MS Office suite (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred) Familiarity with cieTrade specialized software (preferred) Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously Ability to lift heavy materials Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills Good interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines Process improvement mindset Pride in reliability and working with a team Proven commitment to safety and safety process Experience meeting and implementing OSHA guidelines Experience in process development Must have behavior flexibility to adapt to changing work demands and priorities
