Job Title: Plant Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Mechanic to manage the operations and maintenance of industrial compressors, cooling towers, heat exchangers, air coolers, and commercial generators. The role involves diagnosing and maintaining industrial machinery, electrical equipment, and instrumentation in accordance with technical manuals and standard procedures.

ResponsibilitiesManage 1000hp industrial rotary screw compressors, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and air coolers.Oversee the operations and maintenance of air utilities and related equipment.Diagnose and maintain industrial machinery, electrical equipment, and instrumentation (Fans, Motors, Pumps, Air handlers, Compressors, Generators, Cooling Towers).Test mechanical and electrical equipment for proper operating conditions and rectify any issues using test equipment, technical drawings, and data.Conduct inspections, repairs, and installations of equipment related to electric power systems, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical instrumentation.Program and troubleshoot PLCs, familiar with startup and altering in-house programs and software.Perform maintenance, teardown, and rebuild of different types of pumps.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in mechanical, pneumatics, electrical, PLC, industrial instrumentation, and related fields.Experience with industrial compressors and understanding of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.Proficiency in facilities and utilities operations and programming.Experience as a Millwright and Stationary Engineer.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Experience in plant operations, utility distribution, and industrial maintenance.Knowledge of rigging, boiler maintenance, compressor station, control room operations, and pump assembly.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work shift is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a rotating on-call schedule. The facility houses six 1000hp industrial compressors, two cooling towers, and two 480V industrial generators. The position requires comfort working in tight and confined spaces and involves managing another facility within Ipark.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midland, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.58 - $30.61/hr.
