Summary/Objective

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing operations including production, warehousing, and maintenance. This is a working manager role.

Responsibilities

Manage the production process, including planning, processing, sourcing, and shipping.Ensure the quality of the product and maintain consistency in each batch.Ensure health and safety compliance, and perform routine safety checks on equipment.Oversee the maintenance of equipment, facilities, and mechanical, electrical, and control systems.Adhere to environmental regulations and laws.Manage administrative tasks, including production paperwork and regulatory documents.Oversees training of employees and equipment.Responsible for filling in if an employee is off sick, or leaves for an emergency.Assures that orders are pulled and loaded in an accurate and timely way.Supervises employees, administers discipline when appropriate.Develops process improvements for work flow.Recommends cost control or reduction methods.Coordinates work and vacation schedules.

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience in the beverage industry or a similar roleStrong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to manage departments and staffKnowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulationsAbility to apply basic algebra and geometryAbility to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructionsHigh School diploma/GED required. Business background beneficial. Previous supervisory experience.
