Job Summary

Plan and oversee the manufacturing operations 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, oversee and budget all manufacturing operations including maintenance and physical condition of the facilityEnsure proper staffing and training of all positions in the plantEnsure adherence to operational budgets and proper quantities are available of raw materials and packing goodsDirect and review scheduling of manufacturing operations to ensure safe production of quality productsDevelop and review methods for manufacturing, processing, filling and implement modification when necessaryPropose, develop and justify annual multi-million dollars operating, expense and capital expenditure budgetsOversee and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental rules, regulations, policies and training requirements.  Ensure proper documentation and record keepingInvestigate and resolve employee complaints and production problemsResearch feasibility and application of major equipment changes or facility upgrades.  Initiate programs and processes for improved product qualityManage selection, training and supervision of staff for all departments and conduct meetings to review plant issuesImplement Safety and Continuous Improvement programs

Qualifications and Experience

Educational attainment equivalent to Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, related field or experience is requiredMaster’s degree preferredBroad and progressively responsible manufacturing, management, operations, cost control and safety experience is required 

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Broad knowledge of manufacturing operations, paint chemistry, processing and plant capacityConsiderable knowledge of management, supervision and leadership proceduresProject management skillsAbility to define, prepare and analyze production reports,, budgets and capital costsOrganization and interpersonal skillsRecruitment, selection, training and supervision experienceThorough knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and Environmental regulationsThorough knowledge of applicable wage-hour laws

Hiring Range: $101,100.00 - $158,950.00

Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
