Job Description

Position Purpose

This position provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure operating efficiency and the highest level of customer service. This position is responsible for managing total plant operations and delivering superior customer satisfaction by driving results and exceeding expectations in the key areas of budgeting, compliance, safety programs, and people management.

Major/Key Accountabilities

Drive innovation, market share growth and customer service by engaging our partners – both

internal and external – to thoroughly understand supply chain opportunities

Achieve financial goals by managing productivity, quality, and customer service standards

Coaches personnel to model the values and culture of the company

Communicate effectively with customers, employees, peers, and senior management

Collaborate with company network to maximize knowledge of core competencies and best practices

Responsibility for ensuring safety, accounting, and hiring policies and procedures are known and adhered to by managers and staff

Determine efficiencies and inefficiencies in business practices and demonstrate cost effect to business

Serve as resource to the Director and Regional Manager for special projects, and deliver the overall vision of the Region

Maintains production facility standards, conducting inspections, determining and coordinating maintenance requirements

Support implementation of changes in production methods and equipment to improve efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Manage all customer complaints

Conduct annual mock recalls per customer specifications

Manage all aspects of plant documentation, trend analysis and reports

Manage Pest Management Company

Monitor GMP and Food safety programs

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

4-year degree or equivalent experience

Desirable Qualifications:

Lean Six Sigma certification or experience

Experience

P&L management

Results oriented and can meet commitments

Proven track record of success and stability

Works well unsupervised

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Experience with industrial process equipment and, process support and equipment maintenance

Experience implementing sustainability and preventive maintenance programs for all plant equipment and reduce equipment downtime through periodic maintenance

Skills and Knowledge

Superior ability to train people and motivate a team

Applicants need a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, especially Excel

Demonstrated solid decision making

Ability to provide new ideas - “think outside the box"

Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
