**Role Purpose**
The Occupational Nurse responsible for on-site occupational health services at the plant. General responsibilities include promoting and maintaining employees’ physical, mental, and social well-being. This position ensures compliance with local regulations and company policies, provides immediate medical care for work-related injuries and illnesses, and plans and implements health promotion, employee wellness, and workplace safety programs. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following safety standards and procedures. Adheres to the highest standard of confidentiality and ensures that all communication and dialogue is handled in same manner. Maintains effective dialogue and communication with peers, leaders, and associates. Ensures that Health Services/Safety leadership remains apprised and updated on employee matters requiring their attention.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Collaborate closely with the Health Services team, plant management, and EHS to plan and implement occupational health programs, ensuring compliance with company standards and local regulations (including the four major programs required by Taiwan government).
+ Provide on-site first aid, injury and illness assessment, treatment, and follow-up care; assist with employee referrals to medical facilities when necessary.
+ Manage employee health examinations, monitoring, and recordkeeping; conduct fitness-for-duty evaluations and related tasks as required.
+ Support the handling of occupational injuries and illness cases; coordinate with EHS, HR, and external medical providers to execute return-to-work processes to enable early safe return to work via appropriate and monitored work accommodations.
+ Promote health initiatives and employee education programs, such as chronic disease prevention, stress management, and workplace safety training.
+ Participate in investigations of health-related incidents, offering medical insights and supporting root cause analysis.
+ Ensure accuracy of medical records and compliance with company policies and local privacy regulations.
+ Regularly maintain emergency equipment and verify inventory of medical supplies to ensure readiness and compliance with standards.
+ Daily interaction with employees who need health services. Provides nursing assessment and recommendations to Corning Employees related to the illness or injury resulting in an initial determination of occupational versus non-occupational injury or illness.
+ Performs regulatory required medical surveillance as indicated by current Occupational Health and Safety Administration or similar country/national standards.
+ Participate in Corning Health and Safety Programs including participation in the 24/7 Safety & Health initiatives provided by the company (such as smoking cessation, fitness program, blood drive, flu shots, weight watchers).
+ Answer calls during off hours to manage emergency incidents when need.
+ Participate in pandemic preparedness planning when occurs.
**Experiences/Education - Required**
+ Education:Graduate of a nursing-related program with a valid Registered Nurse license.Experience:Minimum 3+ years Registered Nurse Experience required; Occupational Health Nursing a plus and experience in factory or corporate settings is preferred.Skills:
+ Strong first aid and clinical nursing capabilities.
+ Creative in promoting health and safety activities
+ Familiarity with occupational health regulations and standards.
+ Proven ability to work in a team environment.
+ Timely and effectively communication as demonstrated through strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; experience with additional tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
+ Self-directed and motivated with ability to use analytical tools for program development, problem analysis, and solution planning is preferred.
+ Occupational safety and health certifications are an advantage.Language:Mandarin required; basic English communication skills preferred. TOEIC score > 500 is a plus.
