Plant Operator - 1st Shift Lead

We are looking to hire a Plant Operator Lead for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Walton. A Plant Operator Lead has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator Lead is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.
What will your job involve?Supervises all production activities ensuring their successful completionLoads and unloads trucks and trailers on site to ensure all transports are prepared in a timely manner for our next loadPrepares and packs customer orders for transport and moving trucks Manages training and assists employees and new hires Enforces a high standard of finish across all products with outstanding attention to detailAdheres to budgets, time schedules and deadlines Oversees and enforces OSHA requirementsEngages in root cause analysis for issues detrimentally affecting productionManages the cleanliness of production area and facilities Leads and motivates staffManages the allocation of resources for manufacturePushes continuous improvement in workplace safety, production efficiency, product cost & customer satisfactionPromotes & maintains a clean workplace that is 'audit' ready at any given timeSupports Plant Supervisor with day to day operations and additional duties What are we looking for?Can-do attitude – someone who is committed to the schedule and success of their team 1 + years of previous lead experience is preferred Previous experience in a labor-intensive role Excellent organisation and problem solving skillsAbility to manage a wide variety of activities at the same timeAbility to plan, analyse and challenge team Able to work cross functionally and collaboratively with many stakeholdersSolid understanding of all people related processes and proceduresGood understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor qualityWhy work for us?Job stability – as an essential service to healthcare we are non-seasonal and recession proof.Opportunities for overtime – we always need extra hands on deck so overtime opportunities are plentifulConsistent work hours – This position is 1st shift 6:00am- 2:30pm Monday-Friday with no weekends!Benefits – Full time roles are provided benefits, sick leave and vacation leave from day onePermanent position – This is a Full-time permanent role of 40 hours per weekCompetitive salary – This position is offering $20 per hourSafe work environment – We supply above and beyond the standard PPE protocols for safe handling of medical waste – find out more about how we protect you at $20 - $20 an hourWho are we?
