Chemours is seeking a **Plant Operator** to join our growing **Wet Separations** team. This position will be available at our **Maxville, FL** location and report directly to the **Shift Supervisor.** Monitors and operates equipment and facilities, including field equipment, insuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. Maintains safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary. Rotates through various roles within the area, including, in some cases, a control room rotation. **The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:** + Identify and promote opportunities to improve plant safety performance, act as a safety leader. + Optimize plant performance by monitoring process equipment and conditions using information systems including process levels, temperatures, pressures, and flow rates. + Ensure Plant is operating within production criteria as defined by Standard Operating Procedures. + Perform process equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and minor repairs. + Record accurate product, process, and safety data in daily shift logs. + Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in all assigned areas. + Work in a safe and self-guided manner in the absence of supervision, demonstrate creativity, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate initiative. + Report all injuries and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) incidents and assist with investigations. + Ensure operational activities and process performance are aligned with plant and business goals. + Perform other duties and operator heavy mobile equipment as required/assigned by Processing Manager, Shift Supervisor, Process Engineer and Maintenance Supervisor. **The following is** **_required_** **for this role:** + High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and ability to read and write the English language. + Ability to read and comprehend detailed specifications, including computer graphical user interface and basic math ability. + Ability to work with a team, possess good people skills. + Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts. + Regularly required to use hands, fingers, and feet in a coordinated effort to move levers and turn dials to safely operate and maintain plant equipment. + Frequently ascends or descends ladders, stairs, elevated walkways, ramps and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. + Perform heavy manual labor when needed such as moving equipment and supplies around the Plant area in different weather conditions and shoveling sand. + Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods (4-6 hours) + Frequently lifts or moves up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts or moves up to 50 pounds. + Position requires working near and around operating mechanical parts and mobile equipment and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. + Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. + Capable of wearing personal protective equipment, such as hearing protectors and respirators, as necessary. **The following is** **_preferred_** **for this role:** + Previous processing plant or equivalent military experience. + Mechanical aptitude. **Benefits:** Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Benefits Packages 401(k) Match Employee Stock Purchase Program Tuition Reimbursement Commuter Benefits Learning and Development Opportunities Strong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives Company-paid Volunteer Day We’re a different kind of chemistry company because we see our people as our biggest assets.
