Plant Operator
Job Title: Boiler Plant Operator Job Type: Full-Time, Rotating Shifts Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Boiler Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and proficiently performing a variety of duties to start, stop, operate, maintain, and perform minor repair work on high-pressure boilers, absorption and centrifugal chilling machines, CHP units, and all related support/auxiliary equipment. This includes many types of pumps, air compressors, water softeners, and related equipment. The role involves periodically touring the facility to observe operations, making necessary equipment adjustments, logging significant observations, recording daily meter readings, and maintaining daily operating logs. Shifts: + 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM (rotating – 7 on, 4 off, 4 on, 2 off, and repeat) + Every 3rd weekend is off Top Skills - Must Haves: + HVAC - Plumbing/Pipe Fitting + Chilled Water + Boiler Operations + Electrical Secondary Skills - Nice to Haves: + Boiler + Operations Maintenance + Repair + Preventive Maintenance + Steam Additional Skills & Qualifications: + **Requirements:** High School Diploma or GED required + One (1) year of experience in industrial boiler plant operations required + **Preferred:** Operation of forklifts and other power equipment + Must pass a written and skills demonstration (hands-on) test with a minimum score of 75% + **Additional Information:** Candidates strong in one of the following areas and willing to learn the others are welcome:Chilled Water + Boiler Operations + HVAC – Plumbing/Pipe Fitting + Electrician – Electrical – Strong Electrical Work + Needs to be dependable and willing to come to work every day **Employee Value Proposition (EVP):** **This position offers a dynamic work environment on a 552-acre hospital campus.
