Job Summary
Operate crushing plant and material handling equipment at our Lippert aggregate location efficiently and safely. This is a union position.
Main Responsibilities
+ Promote safe work practices and an excellent safety culture
+ Responsible for safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment
+ Complete daily inspection and maintenance checklist
+ Participate in pre-shift safety huddles
+ Responsible to follow all onsite MSHA and environmental requirements
+ Perform routing maintenance and any necessary equipment repairs as needed
+ Responsible for timely reporting of incidents and accidents to supervisor
+ Responsible to inform Plant Superintendent or Managers of any potential safety hazards
Skills
+ Ability to operate equipment efficiently
+ Able to communicate supervisors and peers
+ Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
+ Independent worker as well as being a strong team member
+ Adaptable to changing conditions
+ Able to perform some heavy lifting
+ Welding and fabricating experience preferred
+ Experience working at heights
Physical Requirements
+ Working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
+ Employee will stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time
+ Able to use of arms, hands, fingers and legs for extended periods of time
+ Will be required to lift and handle objects
+ Comfortable working at heights
