This is a union position. Main Responsibilities + Promote safe work practices and an excellent safety culture + Responsible for safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment + Complete daily inspection and maintenance checklist + Participate in pre-shift safety huddles + Responsible to follow all onsite MSHA and environmental requirements + Perform routing maintenance and any necessary equipment repairs as needed + Responsible for timely reporting of incidents and accidents to supervisor + Responsible to inform Plant Superintendent or Managers of any potential safety hazards Skills + Ability to operate equipment efficiently + Able to communicate supervisors and peers + Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes + Independent worker as well as being a strong team member + Adaptable to changing conditions + Able to perform some heavy lifting + Welding and fabricating experience preferred + Experience working at heights Physical Requirements + Working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions + Employee will stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time + Able to use of arms, hands, fingers and legs for extended periods of time + Will be required to lift and handle objects + Comfortable working at heights Company Benefits + Health insurance + Dental Insurance + Vision Insurance + Company paid life insurance and optional dependent life insurance at employee cost + Company paid short term disability and optional long term disability at employee cost + 401K plan with company match + Annual 2% company contribution + Employee Assistance Program Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
