**Responsibilities**
As a Plant Operator at Community Hospital of San Bernardino, you will play a vital role in maintaining and overseeing the hospital’s essential mechanical and electrical systems. This position ensures the safe and efficient operation of critical utilities, including steam boilers, pumps, generator sets, compressors, air handlers, vacuum pumps, and refrigeration equipment to provide reliable lighting, heating, water, and power throughout the facility.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Monitor, maintain, and repair stationary and mobile mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure safe hospital operations.
+ Oversee hospital utilities, including refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and emergency power systems.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety regulations.
+ Ensure efficient energy use and proactively address any operational inefficiencies.
+ Support the hospital’s mission and core values by ensuring a safe and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

**Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent is required.
+ Basic knowledge and understanding in the safe operation and repair of steam boilers boiler auxiliaries generator sets refrigeration plants and other varied types of machinery equipment and systems which make up the physical plant of a hospital is required.
+ Boiler License or Certificate of Completion from an approved boiler training institute and an E.P.A. Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification Type II and III is preferred.
**Pay Range**
$39.07 - $49.11 /hour
