We are looking to hire a Plant Operator - RMW for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Abbotsford. This role requires the operator to unload a trailer every morning with a partner, weighing the waste off of the trailer and sorting as required. Then weighing in the trucks as they arrive and any waste left over from the previous day. This position requires high stamina, as there is a lot of walking involved. There is not much lifting in this position. The ideal candidate will be someone who shows up everyday, as this position is vital.What will your job involve?Maintains the boiler and the autoclave functions to ensure maximum operating efficiency.Ensures that all waste is properly processed and/or stored in compliance with all regulatory requirements.Ensures an adequate supply of clean reusable bins and totes are readily available for logistics purposes.Ensures housekeeping issues, e.g., spills cleaned up, floor is dry, and debris not on floor, etc., are addressed immediately.Performs additional duties and assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed by Operations SupervisorWhat are we looking for?Forklift Certification is a requirement for this position**Someone with a can-do attitude who is committed to efficient, timely scheduling that has previous experience in a labor-intensive job.
