IV. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Salary: $23.68 - $33.65
Inspect, test electrical lighting, signal communication, power circuits and equipment. New equipment on arrival: Safety check, thereafter, perform as designated. Circuit breakers panel – annual. Receptacles – two years. Fire alarm panel – annual. Assist third party vendor with quarterly and annual testing Exit signs and emergency egress lighting – annual. Record the results of inspection and tests on proper forms.Maintenance of diesel generators and transfer switches. Annual cleaning, inspection and full load test. Perform weekly test run and monthly load transfer. Assist third party vendor with annual load bank testing all gen sets Assist third party vendor with tri annual 4 hour load test Record and file results of all generator tests. Notify supervisor of any abnormal test result/s.
Design, plan, install and repair all hospital electrical circuits, equipment and appliances. Repair the equipment within established time guidelines. Design and install electrical circuits, according to equipment specs and electrical building codes. Prepare and submit data for electrical permit to Land I Install equipment within time designated. Record any new circuits or re-routing of circuits on print as as-builts. Notify electrical inspector and have all electrical work inspected. Notify Supervisor/Director of electrical inspection.

.Lighting Order, maintain and monitor an adequate supply of light bulbs and ballast’s to insure timely change-outs campus wide. Progressively work to change any and all old light fixtures to energy efficient status. Store light bulbs neatly and remove burnt out bulbs periodically.Preventive Maintenance of Equipment. Performs scheduled tasks on dates designated. Record results of tasks on proper preventive maintenance form.
Tools and Equipment. Maintain all electrical cords on tools-extension cords used in Hospital. Color-code (phase tape) to ensure proper grounding on a quarterly basis. Keep tools and supplies stored and put away when not in use.
Take routine Plant Op on-call. Carry on-call phone per schedule Respond to calls within 20 minutes Able to handle all emergencies or call for assistance.
Performs any additional duties as assigned. Perform any additional task as directed. Record results of task on Work Order Form.
