Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Main Mission

The role of the Improvement Coordinator, in the context of the deployment of the Faurecia Excellence System, is to drive the implementation of Production Control & Logistics (PC&L) tools and methodologies within a plant.
The main missions of the role are:
o    Ensure plant implementation of PC&L methods and tools.
o    Provide plant with PC&L standards, Material Information Flow Analysis (MIFA), milk run, leveling, etc.
o    Define PC&L deployment objectives on a semi-annual basis and build an action plan in cooperation with the plant and division PC&L managers.
o    Set up the means to achieve the action plan and ensure results.
o    Communicate improvement initiatives. Train and coach plant employees when necessary and carry out progress workshops in accordance with the plant PC&L manager.
o    Support management in the implementation of PC&L tools and provide technical support to other function.
o    Propose, in coordination with the Production System Efficiency coordinator, visual management systems to improve reactivity in case of problems.
o    Identify and implement best practices.
o    Ensure know-how capitalization and check that standard forms are used.
o    Submit/implement at least two Continuous Improvement ideas per month.
o    Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
o    Responsible for the quality of the product
o    Responsible for Health, Safety and Environmental
o    Other tasks assigned according to the position and company needs.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications
o    The ideal candidate will have/be: possess good communication and leadership skills, above average people and organizational skills, and a firm understanding of basic logistics and supply chain practices.
o    Minimum education level: bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience. Master’s degree in engineering preferred.

Experience
o    Experience in production or an industrial environment
o    Past training or coaching experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
o    Exposed to heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
o    Job involves lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. 
o    Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and safety anti-cut sleeves required in production area due to physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts, and product.
