Grow with us as we embark on building tomorrow together by being the safest, most diverse and most profitable industrial gas company in the world.

Reimagine What’s Possible

The Jazan IGCC is the world’s largest IGCC and ASU facility producing 2100 MMSCFD syngas, 18,000 MT/Day Oxygen and 4 Gigawatts of power. Facilities and assets include; residue gasification, acid gas clean up (Rectisol), soot ash recovery, sulphur recovery (Claus & Scot), combined cycle power plants, materials handling systems, hydrogen recovery, air separation, water utilities systems and waste water treatment facilities.

We require a Process Engineer with the ability to understand our process and its operational performance through strong first principals knowledge of chemical engineering, process modelling and analysis of plant data. You will use this to understanding to support the production planning process, optimise the operation against the commercial drivers, to identify improvement opportunities and benchmark performance. This will be done in the dynamic environment of facility commissioning and early operation.

Requirements of the Role

Produce process models of plants and subsystems using excel, process simulation software (with Aspen being the current preferred process simulation software) and other specialist packages Improve existing process models, including the assimilation of plant operating/performance test data. Produce the tools needed by the Production Planning department to estimate utility usage and feedstock requirements for a given product slate. Analyse plant data to identify optimized operating regimes and strategies to meet the commercial objectives, and evaluate the performance of implemented projects. Work closely with Operations team, taking feedback, monitoring actual vs advised operating configuration and parameters and providing training. Identify the root cause of performance/operability problems in commissioning and early operations through analysis of operating data and recommend appropriate solutions. Undertake modelling of both continuous and batch processing units. Ability to interpret design documents such as PFD, P&ID, control narratives and operating instructions Produce KPI reporting structures for the operations management and planning teams and written reports and presentations of investigations undertaken. Work with the Advanced Process Control Team, to identify optimization methods and parameters for controlling to, and to evaluate performance of advanced control routines.
