About the TeamThis position is based in Juarez, Mexico. Reporting to the Director Quality Center EE, the Quality Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the quality lab and quality function within the production facility(s), in addition to monitoring the levels of internal quality for new and existing products, ultimately ensuring customer satisfaction and plant conformance with ISO/QS 9000, IATF 16949, ISO-1400, ZF corporate and divisional standards.
What you can look forward to as Quality Manager:
Direct, develop and oversee local quality staff responsible for Q-Customer, Q-Production, Q-Lab, Q-Metrology and Q-Prototype Manage the day-to-day operations of the quality lab and quality control activities related to the development, maintenance, and implementation of quality analysis and/or quality information systems. Responsible for driving improvements for all Quality KPI in production NCT, NCC (Scrap/Rework/Warranty/0-km) & PPM. Manage and direct technical matters, development of corrective actions, quality issue analysis, audit timing and related targets to ensure successful quality, development, management and or launch of parts/product. Work closely with logistics, manufacturing design, operations, quality systems, and engineering departments to ensure customer requirements are met, and overall satisfaction with cost, quality, and delivery is achieved. Assist in the development of plant operating and business plans; compare operational performance with established operating plans & standards and interpret/report results of quality lab/control operations. Oversee the design and implementation of quality lab and statistical control processes, and aid in the development of special projects relating to the quality lab/control function within the production facility. Develop corrective and preventative actions for quality control; monitor internal quality levels. Ensure compliance with the ZF Quality Management System requirements (ZF QMS) which includes IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and Customer Specific Requirements (CSR). Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Profile as Plant Quality Manager:
Four-year degree in a technical field (Master’s preferred) 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in the automotive and/or electronics component industries, including experience in a quality function. 5+ years of supervisory and/or managerial experience in a manufacturing environment Expert level knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedure within Quality Engineering Expert Experience with statistical process control techniques (related to FMEA, control plan, CPK, etc.) Extensive experience with quality audit procedures, quality systems and statistical process control Extensive experience with advanced product planning and familiarity with financial reporting statements Strong knowledge and ability in methods of communication (English and Spanish language competency – both oral and written), motivation, negotiation, and conflict management skills with a high level of initiative/drive IATF 16949 awareness training Knowledge of 5S and/or Six Sigma problem-solving methodology Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
