THE VALUE YOU'LL BRING:

As part of our Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant equipment and systems. This position involves overseeing the preventative maintenance program, managing maintenance schedules, and leading key maintenance initiatives to ensure optimal plant performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Reliability Oversight: Ensure the reliability and performance of all plant equipment and systems.

Preventative Maintenance: Oversee and manage the preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.

Maintenance Scheduling: Manage the scheduling of maintenance employees and oversee plant maintenance schedulers/planners.

Parts Management: Supervise the parts storeroom, ensuring adequate inventory and timely availability of parts.

Training Programs: Develop and implement maintenance training programs for staff to enhance skills and efficiency.

Budget Management: Manage the maintenance department budget, ensuring cost-effective practices and resource allocation.

Project Management: Lead and oversee large maintenance and repair projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze department KPIs such as downtime, parts usage, and mean time between failures (MTBF) to drive continuous improvement.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

Bachelor’s degree for an accredited four-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 5+ years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required.

Proven experience in a plant maintenance or reliability role, with a strong understanding of equipment and systems.

Experience in managing maintenance programs, schedules, and budgets.

Strong analytical skills and experience with performance metrics and KPI analysis.

Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities, with experience in managing a team.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

Good decision maker and ability to perform in stressful situations.

Demonstrated computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and company software packages.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures in English.

Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.

Noise level in the work environment requires hearing protection.

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Indoor and outdoor work environments.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Frequently required to stand; walk; use stairs, some ladder climbing, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear.

Work alternate shifts and some weekends.

Ability to deliver information to diverse audiences.

Fundamental mathematical skills for managing Key Performance Indicators.
