Plant Sales Representative

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university with two years of related experience; OR associate's degree with four years of related experience and/or trainingMust be able to provide documentation in the original form establishing both your identity and your employment eligibility in the U.S.This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully attain access to such items. High level of competency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel

Plant Sales Representative

Profile: The Plant Sales Representative is responsible for a portfolio of customer accounts and maintains and directs key customer activity with the field sales group regarding these accounts.  This role directly supports the Hampton facility on all customer matters which could impact customer relations including formulating quoting strategies, pricing, and on time shipments 

Job Responsibilities:

Follow Safety Regulations along with all department specific safety requirementsOwner of portfolio of customer accounts -- Howmet’s front-line eyes, ears, and voice for customer issues.Owns and manages customer order portfolio.Directs support to facility on all customer matters which could impact customer relations and delay on time input or shipment of customer requirements.Completes coordination of assigned account portfolio:  all forecasting of firm and anticipated requirements identified and resolution of open items and ensures all order changes are managed properly.Coordinates key customer activity with field sales representatives.Assists in the coordination of customer visits.Hampton owner and driver in formulating quoting strategies for portfolio of parts.  This includes obtaining accurate costs, developing approach, and driving the internal review process.Negotiates commercial issues which arise in the normal course of business (Push outs, design changes, etc.)Responsible for processing orders and any changes to orders.Assists in managing Account Receivable balances.Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

A minimum of two years of related Sales (or training) experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; however, will consider a recent college graduate degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Demonstrated requisite skills and abilities in basic computer operation.  Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Ability to utilize Microsoft applications including Excel for tracking and reporting.
