Job Summary

 

The Plant Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a plant.  The Plant Supervisor will also need to develop and maintain teamwork within the facility to ensure a productive outcome. 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Supervise, evaluate, coach, and motivate personnel supervised         Manage the workforce assigned to the plant daily         Direct work at plant locations and job sites         Maintain quality assurance of the plant as required         Perform routine plant maintenance         Control expenditures and maximize profits for the plant, region, and company         Control and maintain inventory levels         Routinely inspect vehicles, equipment, reports, and repairs needed         Assist with accident and environmental investigation/compliance         Complete all the paperwork and reports required by the company in a timely manner         Issue discipline at the direction of the Louisburg L& G Site Manager         Review timecards and monitor attendance         Other duties may be assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Physical requirements include lifting up to 65 lbs., extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing, working inside and outside, and use of fall protection equipment Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions Able to sit for extended periods, climb up & down from cab heights, and work effectively in extreme outdoor climate(s) - cold, heat, rain, fog Experience in wood/pulp/mulch manufacturing preferred Experience with heavy equipment and machinery
