The Plant Technicians are entry level technicians hired into the Company.- Incumbents in the role are subject to a 90-day probationary period.- In this role, the Plant technician will gain experience in various production positions where responsibilities will include:
+ Ability to assist with the Take-Off Driver with Dunnage and the Stacker with Dunnage positions.
+ Support and assist plant operations team by completing various tasks assigned by the Shift Leader.
+ Learns equipment operations for assigned positions including all aspects of AM and PM Maintenance.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Establishes and maintains the highest degree of housekeeping and 5S (Sorting, Straightening, Shining, Standardizing, Sustaining) in all areas.
+ Makes suggestions or recommendations for improvement to plant equipment, processes, safety, quality and teamwork on a routine basis using established Safety/WCM tool.
+ Completion of AM duties per the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual PMARs including inspections and basic cleaning, tightening, and lubrication of assigned equipment. Performs all required verifications and tests. Inspects and completes notifications of equipment deficiencies to maintain basic conditions.
+ Performs other related duties and trainings that contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by Shift Leader.
+ Communicating via radio, in person or phone to ensure co-workers are aware of key board characteristics and any necessary changes needed in the process.
Working Conditions:
Able to work in non-temperature-controlled building with concrete floors and occasional opportunity to sit. Occasional lifting of 50# bags of additives to waist height. 12-hour rotating shift and overtime as indicated on assigned schedule along with additional overtime as business needs dictate. Personal Protective Equipment required (hard hat, safety glasses, stee-toed shoes, safety vest, ear plugs and any other required task specific PPE).

This position is located at the Moundsville CertainTeed Gypsum Plant in Proctor, West Virginia. Located in the Mid-Ohio Valley, this part of West Virginia is a mix of charming towns and riverfront cities.
