Job Description:

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7am -3pm, with flexibility to support all shifts based on projects and training needs

Work Location: 200 NW Victoria Drive Lee's Summit MO 64086

Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $21.16 - $36.05 per hour with additional bonus potential

Responsibilities

Support Safety and Engagement: Deliver training that reinforces a culture of safety, quality, and employee engagement, following established plant initiatives.

Training Program Development: Create and update training materials (e.g., Standard Work, One Point Lessons, Skills Element Trees) and produce training videos to support employee learning.

Technology Utilization: Use platforms like Weever to manage training processes, track progress, and assist with operational tasks as directed.

Employee Development: Train new and existing employees on job-specific tasks, new equipment, and cross-training opportunities, working with managers, supervisors, and leads to ensure skill consistency.

Training Logistics: Schedule and facilitate training sessions—both classroom and hands-on—including agendas, participant coordination, and new hire orientations.

New Hire Orientation: Set up New Hire Orientation sessions with department representatives, keeping materials current.

Performance Support: Identify employees needing additional training, schedule sessions, and document progress to address performance gaps, as directed by supervisors or managers.

Project Support: Assist with scheduling and preparing for deep cleans, project work, and safety initiatives, following leadership guidance.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized training records using digital tools, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.

Employee Engagement: Assist with employee engagement events and career development activities to support workforce flexibility and morale.

Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support Human Resources, safety, and operational objectives.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required; a degree in Instructional Design, HR Development, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred (Associate’s, Technical, or Bachelor’s).

Minimum of 2 years of experience training adults, ideally in a manufacturing or food industry environment.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage diverse audiences in a fast-paced setting.

Ability to interpret and present technical documents, safety rules, and production schedules.

Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across all levels, with analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Expertise in assessing training needs, adapting content with technology, and implementing practical solutions.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to master industry-specific software (e.g., Weever, Alchemy, Workday experience is a plus).

Experience creating training videos and using digital tools to enhance learning.

Proven teaching, training, and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on best practices.

Mechanical aptitude with technical training or equivalent manufacturing experience (food industry preferred).

Strong time management, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.

Ability to manage stressful situations with calm judgment and adaptability.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Ability to stand and walk up to 90% of the shift, frequently using hands and occasionally climbing.

Must lift/move up to 50 lbs.; vision requirements include near/far acuity and some color perception.

Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts

Ability to work in high temperature locations, up to 110* F
