Summary: Seeking an experienced Plastics Manufacturing Engineer to lead process development and improvements for a leading supplier in the rail, construction, and heavy truck industries.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar engineering field

Minimum of 5 years direct manufacturing experience

Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen or other Lean tools

General knowledge or experience with thermoforming, reaction injection molding (RIM), compression molding (SMC), material testing, assembly, and bonding

Preferred Skills:

SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and document processes, tooling, and new product development for thermoformed products

Optimize productivity by reducing cycle time, improving quality, reducing scrap, and lowering operating costs through continual process improvement

Initiate and assist with capital improvement projects aimed at enhancing plant capabilities through new equipment purchase or facility modification

Develop and monitor training plans to ensure personnel are versed in new process requirements

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
