Description:Function

 Perform a variety of duties to metal plate all types of aircraft parts.

Typical Responsibilities

 Follow general instructions and standard practices to plate with chrome, cadmium, nickel, copper, etc., a wide variety of aircraft parts.

 Prepare and maintain solutions and anodes for cleaning and plating.

 Check temperature of solution and recommend changes where required.

 Clean, mask, and rack parts for plating, and construct or alter available tools to facilitate work.

 Select proper position of parts in relation to conforming anodes to obtain even disposition of plating metal.

 Identify parts to be plated and determine proper masking from drawings and process cards.

 Maintain flow of work so as to expedite most critical orders.

 Perform anodizing, alodining, black oxide, dichromating, and other chemical processing, when required.

 Refer all unusual situations or recurring problems to working leader or supervisor.

 As required segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices to maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and comply with all EH&S procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
1 to 2 years experience.

Requires ability to use ordinary drawings, simple arithmetic, and hydrometer, thermometer, and related instruments.

Also requires knowledge of metal cleaning procedures

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
