Platform/DevSecOps Engineer
Indianapolis, IN
As the Platform/DevSecOps Engineer on the Defense Digital Team, you will be responsible for cloud configuration, aiding software engineers with deployment, CI/CD pipeline creation/modification, automation, and monitoring of our deployment platforms. The successful candidate will join the Defense Digital Team and work day-to-day with an internal organization called the Software Factory. This is a small, agile, and fast-moving team which embraces the concept of “Learn Fast, Fail Fast” as we help to digitally transform the larger business. The tech stack is Azure, GitHub Enterprise, Terraform, Snyk, TypeScript, OPA, GraphQL although various other languages, tools, and concepts will be used as well.

Key Accountabilities:
Configure our Azure cloud subscriptions for secure operation and deployments of applications and toolsCreate and maintain deployment and test automation, CI/CD pipelines, vulnerability scanning, and other capabilities that let our software engineers get their changes to production quickly and efficientlyKeep up with industry best practices, new libraries, and tools in the Cloud & DevOps ecosystem and bring that learning to bear on Rolls-Royce projects.Integrate with the internal Software Factory organization by helping to coach, guide, mentor, and train part-time programmers and citizen developers in basic and intermediate software and platform development.Basic Qualifications:
Associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience OR;Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience OR;Master’s degree or JD/PhD OR;6 years of experience in lieu of a degreeTo be considered for this role you must be a US citizenPreferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated capability in building CI/CD Pipelines to deploy and run various test typesDemonstrated experience working with commercial cloud providers and services, especially Azure.Demonstrated experience in mentoring and coaching others in technical endeavorsDemonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and oralComfortable with ambiguity - able to define and implement plans that achieve business value without detailed instructionsAdvocate of High-Performance Culture and positive changePioneer the next generation of innovation.
