What will you do?

The Platform Engineer role is responsible for the platform management of the Azure Data Lakehouse and its components, including cost optimisation, access management, automated monitoring, issue resolution and service request management. This role contributes to the management of Aurecon Power Bi environment used for the delivery of Enterprise Reports.

Responsible for the platform management and maintenance of the Azure Data Lakehouse and its components including Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake Storage, Synapse services and Microsoft PurviewContribute to the cost optimisation of the Data Lakehouse and associated servicesContribute to the management and maintenance of the Aurecon Power Bi environment used for the delivery of Enterprise ReportsResponsible for the monitoring and management of the access management for the Data Lakehouse and Enterprise Reporting environmentPartner with Data Engineers and Reporting Analysts to optimise the implementation of data pipelines for the delivery of enterprise reporting and analyticsDevelopment of scripts and processes for the automated monitoring of the Data Lakehouse and associated servicesContribute to the triage, analysis and resolution of identified issues and service requests for the Data Lakehouse and Enterprise Reports

Technology Leadership

Contributing to the skills uplift across the product squad through knowledge sharing and coaching.Contributing to the continuous improvement and maturity of delivery and support processes.Taking ownership to evaluate technical requirements and advise on solutions and alternatives to meet business needs.Contributing to ensure that the product is properly managed and fit for purpose.Exhibiting the depth and breadth of own product knowledge through the impact of the solutions you deploy.

Stakeholder Management

Engaging with the business and IT stakeholders to address complex business problems through application solutions.Ensuring clear and effective communication of technical solutions to both technical and nontechnical audience.

What can you bring to the team?

3-5 years as a Cloud Platform EngineerKnowledge and experience in designing, implementing, deploying and configuring Azure resources using Azure DevOps tools and scripting languagesExperience in Azure Data Lakehouse, Cosmos DB, Synapse, MS Purview is required (required)Experience with Microsoft’s logging and analytics services (required)Experience using Powershell to automate monitoring (required)Experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse methodologies & governance (required)Understanding of GIT and CI/CD workflow using Azure DevOps (required)Python experience desirableSupport multiple environments (development, test, production) and a strong understanding of SDLC concepts.Experience participating in scrum-based agile teamsExperience in Shared services / IT Consulting services industry is a desired.
