Role Summary

We are looking for Platform Engineer with strong hands-on experience in networking, RHOCP Platform, routing and switching and Cisco Network Hardware like Cisco switches, Cisco ASA firewalls. Strong practical knowledge of network concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPN, network protocols, port configuration, link aggregation, spanning tree optimization, and performance tuning

Key Responsibilities

Strong hands-on experience in networking, RHOCP Platform, routing and switching and Cisco Network Hardware like Cisco switches, Cisco ASA firewalls.Strong practical knowledge of network concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPN, network protocols, port configuration, link aggregation, spanning tree optimization, and performance tuningStrong knowledge of routing protocols, EIGRP, BGP and OSPF.Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching is a strong plus.RedHat OpenShift certification is a strong plus.Deep knowledge of Container technology.Should have very strong and deep knowledge of SDN (Software Defined Network)Hands-on experience on Multi-vendor hardware like Checkpoint firewalls, Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, & Proxy hardwareDevelop and execute Proof of Concept and/or Deployment Acceptance test plan and test reportsDevelop implementation guide with configuration templates and deployment plan for the customers deploying SDN productsExecute or assist our customer executing the deployment planManage customer escalationsProvide technical direction to internal teams and customers based on customer business requirementsExperience in Open Shift is Required.Experience in Unix operating system (Required)Experience in scripting (Preferred)Load Balancers: Troubleshoot hardware and software operations.Strong knowledge on all data flow through the load balancer

Job Requirements

You will be working on leading Open Source SDN projects, contributing quality upstream source code.Adding new solutions and features to SDN projects, writing blueprintsEngage in Open-Source Community discussionsParticipating in Architectural discussionsGuiding team on various SDN components and solutionsHandling network outages that involve debugging and providing immediate resolutions.Working closely with customers and onsite teams across the globe.Raising and tracking issues with other partner vendors.

 

Skills: Container technologies Docker, Kubernetes Infrastructure-as-as-Service IaaS products·Red hat OpenShift platform is mandatory.8 + years of experience in the IT/Telecom industry and 4 + year of experience in cloud computing.Experience in working with virtualization technologies (vSphere, Xen, KVM, Red Hat Virtualization, Docker) and cloud technologies like OpenStack and OpenShift Platform.Understanding of basics of VMM layer and VMX protocol for virtualization. Debugging of KVM.Strong working & troubleshooting experience in Linux/CentOS/Ubuntu.Strong working experience in L2/L3 networking protocol.  Good exposure to IPV4 and IPV6. BGP / OSFP routing protocol.Should be conversant with CLI for OpenShift modules.Exposure to any market leader networking L3 and L7 Load balancing.Strong knowledge on packet accelerator VPP/DPDK/SRIOV/Smartnic.Network Design and Planning for teleco grade deployment.Understanding of core networking topology and devices (switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers)Experience on Shell Scripting or Python·Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Strong communication and writing skills required.Ansible/Chef/Salt any configuration automation language is preferable.
