As a Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our platform infrastructure. You will work closely with software engineers, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. Your expertise will help drive the technical direction of our platform and contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices.
We are looking for someone with:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience5 or more years of proven experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar role2 to 4+ years’ experience programming in one complex language like Java, C#, Python, RubyExperience with scripting languages such as Bash, Node.js, PowerShell, etc.Experience administering and configuring web server technologies (WebSphere Application Server, HCL Porttal / DX, Apache, WebLogic, nginx, etc.,)Experience with virtual infrastructure such as vSphere and Docker and *Nix OS like RHEL and AIXKnowledge of Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration processes and conceptsKnowledge of Configuration Management tools (Chef, Ansible, etc.,)Knowledge of micro/web service architecturesKnowledge of platform as a service (PaaS) solutions such as (AWS, MS Azure including AKS)Knowledge and experience with SCM tools and best practices (GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, etc.)Experience programming in at least one complex language like Java, C#, Python, Ruby7x24 production support (on a rotational basis).After-hours support for production implementations, and changes.Assist in infrastructure design, and solution planning.On the job you will:
Evaluate, identify, and automate the administration of various tools used in the DevOps Engineering InfrastructureDevelop and maintain build pipeline automation scripts and processSupport deployment and automation for client/server applications and testing suitesDevelop and administer various tools supporting CI/CD & Release Management including Source Control repositories, Continuous Integration environment, JIRA issue tracking and Confluence team collaboration toolingBe available to support our end users for the DevOps tooling our team ownsPromote a co-operative work environment through building relationships with our stakeholders and driving enhancements to the end-to-end process (workstation to production)Working Arrangement: Hybrid
