Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the core infrastructure components that power our platform. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the foundation that supports our services and applications. This role demands a deep understanding of infrastructure and DevOps principles, a passion for automation, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional developer experiences. Responsibilities Develop and maintain core infrastructure frameworks, including messaging, stream processing, and Kubernetes orchestration. Manage and optimize Kubernetes operators, ensuring high availability and performance. Implement self-service observability solutions, empowering service owners to monitor and troubleshoot their services effectively. Build robust security controls to protect our platform and data, adhering to industry-best practices. Own and optimize various AWS services to support our applications and data pipelines. Work closely with engineering teams to define requirements, identify dependencies, and mitigate risks. Foster a positive developer experience by providing intuitive tools, documentation, and support. Qualifications Deep experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and/or Crossplane. Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem. Proficiency in at least one GitOps tool (ArgoCD, Flux, or similar). Experience with CI tools like GitLab CI. Deep understanding of AWS services. Experience with messaging and stream processing systems. Strong understanding of automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, Golang). Proven ability to design and implement scalable, resilient systems. Build the necessary automation used to control highly scaled stateful services. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Passion for building and supporting developer-centric platforms. Experience with observability tools and practices.
