The Client Engineering team is multi-disciplinary team consisting of Innovation Designers, Solution Architects, Platform Engineers, AI Engineers, and Business Strategists that collaborate to deliver a unique client co-creation experience that uses IBM technology to accelerate and prove value for our clients. **Your role and responsibilities** As a Platform Engineer (Intern) you’ll play a key role in supporting unique client co-creation experiences to accelerate their transformation. You’ll be across all aspects of integrated solutions, from identifying requirements to making technical decisions that impact the business case and working with cross-functional teams to realise the full potential of our hybrid cloud and AI solutions such as Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Technical Expertise & Client Understanding: Leverage contemporary hybrid cloud skills like containerisation, APIs, DevSecOps, and more. Understand clients’ businesses deeply to tailor solutions effectively. * Technology & Solution Communication: Define and communicate IBM’s technology value, both technically and commercially. Participate in client sessions focused on various cloud technologies like Red Hat OpenShift, IBM Cloud Paks, and SaaS solutions. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Technical: Experience in a cloud-related domain such as Data/Analytics, Data Science, Security, or other cloud-native, hybrid, or public-cloud technologies. Proficient in at least one common cloud native programming language (Java, Python, HCL, Rust, Ansible, etc.). Practical knowledge of virtualized on-premise and cloud-based platforms. * Solution Development & Deployment: Experience in building deployment automation workflows for applications and infrastructure. Experience with APIs. Understanding and applying Agile best practices in development processes. * Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Communicate ideas with technical and business stakeholders. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Familiarity with IBM's product offerings: Hands-on experience with any of IBM's products and services (training across IBM's product suite will be provided). * Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CNCF, AWS, IBM Cloud, Azure, GCP, DevOps). Additional Requirements: * Located in Sydney or Melbourne. * In final year of study. * Available 3-5 day working days per weeks for 6 months. * Must be Australian or New Zealand Citizen/Permanent Resident.
