ASML is at the forefront of innovation, developing advanced lithography machines that drive the production of faster, more energy-efficient microchips. These chips power the latest consumer electronics, making technology more accessible and efficient worldwide. As ASML continues to grow, we are expanding our IT EFSD GAP / SAP Platform ART to support the architecture, governance, and adoption of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Our goal is to enhance speed, quality, and agility in our business processes through this platform. Since its establishment in April 2020, the SAP Business Technology Platform Team has been defining reference architectures, governance structures, and Agile delivery frameworks. We are looking for a Platform Engineer - SAP Business Technology Platform to help shape the future of this platform within ASML and bring innovation forward.

Role and responsibilities

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring a robust and scalable SAP Business Technology Platform. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the architecture, compliance, and functionality of BTP applications across ASML’s technology landscape.

Defining and implementing technology and integration solutions with enterprise and solution architects.

Translating reference architectures into practical solutions using the ISA-M methodology.

Implementing and collaborating with our partners in maintaining the SAP Business Technology Platform setup to support business needs and innovation.

Ensuring quality of the platform and consistency in set up and act as voice of reason/quality assurance to other teams.

Following and contributing to best practices and architectural principles established by the BTP team.

Sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues, improving team capabilities, and collaborating across IT teams to drive innovation and efficiency.

Education and experience

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience of which 3+ years hands-on with SAP Business Technology Platform in an international environment.

Certification in SAP Cloud Platform or SAP Technology (or a proven track record of expertise).

Understanding and proficiency in SAP Basis, HANA, cloud computing, storage, databases, and networking.

Experience with SAP Development technologies, cloud deployment, and full lifecycle SAP cloud implementations.

Knowledge of cloud architecture and architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is a benefit to have.

Understanding of hybrid cloud environments and integration concepts.

Other information

This position reports to the Group Lead responsible for the SAP Platforms.

ASML IT is undergoing an Agile transformation, which may impact current organizational structures.

The role involves close collaboration with IT teams and business units to drive digital innovation and platform excellence.
