Platform Owner, Data Center
As the Platform Owner you are responsible for the value realized from the KONE Data Center platforms. KONE Data Center platforms include both environments hosted by selected service providers and KONE owned virtualization platforms in various KONE factory locations around the globe.
Platform Owners work with stakeholders and end users to understand their needs, prioritize them, and translate them into backlogs. Platform Owners work with their agile team(s) and selected partners to execute the prioritized backlogs. They take active part in designing the functionality of the platforms and their features. Working closely with relevant experts and partners, they ensure that operations and service levels are planned and deployed.
Platform Owners guide other product teams to ensure end user and stakeholder needs are correctly understood, and the teams get timely feedback on their work. They follow KPIs including operational performance, lifecycle costs and plan corrective actions when needed. They regularly seek feedback from stakeholders to identify improvement needs for functionality and operations.
We seek an individual who can further develop KONE's Data Center platforms according to business needs. Your proactive nature, coupled with strong interpersonal skills, will be invaluable as you navigate the diverse stakeholder landscape. You will be involved in KONE key projects involving Data Centers and related service governance work. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional with Data Center infrastructure knowledge to take on a high impact role with excellent visibility into global business in KONE.
The position is based in Chennai, India and will report to the Platform Manager, Data Center & Cloud Platforms.

Main responsibilities
Working with stakeholders to define the platform roadmap, prioritize new features and improvements, with focus on realizing maximum value from investments through the platform life cycle. Setting up the overall platform performance KPIs and targets including for operations and IT activities related to benefit realization. Responsible for regularly following the KPIs and communicating them to key stakeholders.Collecting and clarifying the needs of stakeholders and target users and translating them into backlogs. In this process, take responsibility for platform functional and/or technical designs, where applicable.Prioritizing the platform backlogs and planning their execution, taking account platform roadmaps, OKRs and lifecycle needs. Accountable for successful execution of the plans together with your agile team(s) and partners. Applying incremental and iterative development and learning driven development principles.Ensuring that the platform operations in deployed environments are planned in-line with the product value proposition, current target users, Deployment environments and IT level operations strategy. Ensure that the plans are fit-for-purpose and are updated to ensure continuity when there are changes to these aspects.Ensure that the platform operations and performance are as planned, and timely corrective actions are taken when needed. Follow and address technical debt in the platform to ensure continued and sustained operations.Following the platform usage and cost and ensuring that platform and financial operations are accordingly adjusted.Provide necessary guidelines and instructions for stakeholders to use the platform and ensure that the instructions are followed.Responsible for the financial aspects of the platforms and their lifecycle, taking the total cost of ownership across the lifecycle into account- including costs for development, licenses, HW, operations etc.Guide team members when needed on functional and/or technical matters. Collaborate with other agile teams to plan the dependencies and joint development.Managing selected service providers and developing the governance of them.To be successful in this role you need to be a senior (8+ years of experience) IT professional with practical knowledge and experience in infrastructure and service management, IT security and Data Center technologies (VMWare, Microsoft etc.). Leadership skills are needed to maximize the efficiency of your agile team(s) and partners. You are analytical and have problem-solving skills combined with experience in working in an international environment
