Platform Power Delivery Validation Engineer
Job Description
Defines, develops, and performs platform power delivery validation and characterization across Intel products. Drives detailed workload analysis to deliver power delivery optimization goals across process, voltage, and temperature, identifies gaps, and helps drive the direction of next generation products. Applies deep expertise of voltage regulator designs and ensures enough current is delivered to the platform powered voltage regulators. Performs power delivery debug and enables robust design fixes through design experiments to root cause the power delivery issue under evaluation. Develops power delivery validation methodologies, executes validation plans, and collaborates with other engineers for design optimization, troubleshooting, and failure analysis. Develops postsilicon validation infrastructure (e.g., performance monitors, behavioral checkers, state space coverage) and test environment used in validation testing. Publishes platform level power delivery validation reports summarizing all validation activities performed, reviews results, and communicates to relevant teams. Collaborates with internal customer focused teams and/or directly with customers to replicate and debug power delivery issues and provides impact assessment of functional bugs on performance. Works with IP, SoC, and software engineering teams to enable continuous improvement in platform engineering methodologies.
Qualifications

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications, you must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position: Master/bachelor's degree in electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or related field.
- Min 1 years of relevant experience in platform power delivery design and validation.- Intermediate to advanced English level.- Strong knowledge and experience in power delivery systems, including power electronics, voltage regulation, and power integrity analysis, along with troubleshooting skills for power-related issues in complex platforms.

Preferred qualifications, are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:
- Knowledge of power delivery network design and analysis for high-performance computing systems, including experience with voltage regulators, power management ICs, and power distribution networks.
- Familiarity with lab equipment including, but not limited to, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, multimeters, electronic loads, and soldering equipment.
- Experience with power integrity and thermal management design issues, as well as proficiency in using simulation tools such as SPICE, Cadence PowerSI, or Mentor Graphics HyperLynx for power delivery analysis.
- Knowledge of Windows and UNIX platforms, with scripting skills in Python or MATLAB for automation of validation processes, would be an added advantage.
