About the Role
The Senior Software Engineer in a cross-functional team with the charter of building new capabilities into a structured, well-organized and governed data platform. This team consists of engineers passionate about data, infrastructure, and about building a platform that enables engineers to work with data in an agile and effective manner.

Responsibilities
· Designing and building the infrastructure for ingest and egress for both batch and streaming data.
· Collaborating with teams across our business to assist them in utilising platform components or planning new features
· Implementing modern development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews
· Mentoring Engineers to help grown their skills and careers
· Performing all parts of the lifecycle, including infrastructure build, code, deployment, QA, and monitoring
· Delivering high-quality features through good agile, CI/CD and DevOps practices, and supporting your team in their engineering excellence.
Requirements
· Be aware of differences and challenges of working with both streaming data sets and more traditional data sets
· Experience with AWS data stack (such as S3, Glue, Athena,)
· Experience with infrastructure as code Terraform
· Have working SQL knowledge and experience working with several relational databases
· Experience in Python
