What is the Platforms National Account Manager responsible for?The role of ‘National Account Manager’ on the Platforms team leads our overall engagement and sales efforts with select Custodian and TAMP clients. The role has a primary sales mandate but also includes holistic relationship management components, including FT Senior Mgmt engagement, net revenue considerations and impact to other intermediaries that leverage these custodians and TAMPs.
Specific, Ongoing Responsibilities:Grow Franklin Templeton’s business through improved product availability and research status on these TAMP and custodian platforms.
Lead partnership with internal specialists to profile, pursue and win home office discretionary mandates.
Engage with senior management at both Franklin Templeton and client firms to fully understand client priorities, strengthen our corporate relationships and facilitate unique partnership opportunities.
Manage and execute Franklin Templeton’s strategy for presence and visibility alongside these clients at industry events and virtual engagements.
Primary Metrics for Judging Success:Gross and Net Sales through discretionary and end-client channels
Platform additions and research status upgrades
Execution on Franklin Templeton US Distribution strategic priorities
Overall Franklin Templeton/Client relationship management engagement
Ideal Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Ample investment management industry experience (min 5 years) and knowledge, encompassing capital markets and general operations (share class implications, SMA configurations, etc.)
Excellent active listening and decision-making skills, high energy and work ethic, teamwork and results-oriented process required.
Strong familiarity with Franklin Templeton’s structure, product lineup and relevant priorities beyond investment products greatly preferred.
Proven success selling to sophisticated buyers and aligning messaging based on real-time client feedback (both verbal and non-verbal).
Experience and familiarity with custodians and TAMPs greatly preferred.
FINRA licensing required, industry credentials (CFA, CAIA, CIMA, CFP, etc.) preferred.
Compensation Range: Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. The salary, benefits and variable rewards will reflect the seniority of the position and a competitive market rate. We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $130,000 - $170,000.
