Purpose of the job:

We are an enthusiastic, diverse group of engineers and software developers; responsible for building, deploying, maintaining and improving bespoke software to support the Crown can manufacturing business.

The scope of work is growing, and as a result, we need more people to support the system, in collaboration with the factories, corporate team, commissioning engineers, suppliers etc.

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

Responsible for the deployment of Crown in-house built Manufacturing Execution System to Crown factories globally, from surveying the factory and building a scope of work, to identify missing data / hardware, to coding of the PLCs, right through to the configuration of the website, and validating the data. Responsible for the maintenance of the system – working with factories across the world to fault find issues with the data, whether it’s a faulty sensor, or a typo in the website configuration. Responsible for the continuous improvement of the system – working with the factories to identify improvement opportunities for the system, researching possible solutions, and working with the software developers to implement them. Responsible for working with the plants and other teams to use the data to generate conclusions and create actionable insights.
