Are you looking to use your knowledge and experience to ensure continuous, sustained improvement across the enterprise through the implementation of Danaher Business System tools and methodologies with a high level of customer focus?

The PLC controls engineer is responsible for the setup, programming, testing, and implementation of computer control systems used for production automation and industrial equipment design. The duties are to implement programs on programmable logic controllers and test whether industrial computers process information and function correctly. Debug issues and troubleshoot problems that have non-standard solutions. Assess the functionality of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment.

This position is part of the Danaher Business System Organization and will be based in Timonium, Maryland.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Provide Electrical design, programming, testing, installation, and maintenance of large-scale electronically controlled equipment or machinery for use in manufacturing.Use of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments.Work with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering Group to transition new equipment into Production.Provide technical support to manufacturing in areas of electrical process trouble shooting to find the root cause and implementing corrective actions (example: yield improvement) and provide electrical programming support for CI and cost reduction projects throughout the plantProvide ongoing technical support of existing equipment and processes

The essential requirements of the job include:

University Degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of experienceWorking Knowledge of coding in ControlLogix, PLC5, SLC500’s, PanelView, and other controls.Working knowledge of mechanical drawings and experience using a computer aided design system. Along with proficiency with Windows based software and packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Working Experience with equipment related to injection molding, Melt blown Processes or Plastic Extrusion parts design. Experience identifying and implementing improvements to processes, tools and tooling.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Ability to effectively communicate with people at different levels of the organization ranging from Manufacturing Associates to the Plant Manager.Project Management skills.Strong conceptual thinking, analytical problem-solving and interpretation of internal/external challenges.

The salary range for this role is $110,000-$125,000 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
