PLC Engineer / Programmer

Summary: Seeking a highly experienced PLC Engineer with expertise in designing and programming complete PLC systems from inception to execution, particularly in aviation security.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

7-10 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation design

Proficiency in PLC protocols, particularly Profinet

Proficiency in PLC languages listed in the IEC 61131-3 standard, particularly ladder logic

Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols such as Profinet and Modbus

Ability to interpret and follow electrical and mechanical schematics accurately

Proven experience designing and implementing full-scale automation systems

Willingness to travel up to 50% for on-site installations and support

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Siemens products and toolsets

Proficiency in HMI/SCADA systems and programming

Experience performing in-field installations and integrations

Competence with managed switches and general network topology knowledge

Familiarity with Linux operating systems

Certifications in PLC programming or industrial automation

Familiarity with Industry

4.0 technologies and concepts

Job Responsibilities:

Design and develop comprehensive PLC-controlled baggage handling systems, including hardware selection, plc programming, and integration.

Configure and program managed switches including VLAN setup, port access control, security patching, redundancy implementation, and performance monitoring.

Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with integrated systems promptly.

Provide technical support during system installation and commissioning.

Document and maintain detailed records of PLC programs and system configurations.

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in PLC programming.



Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
