Job Title: PLC Technician
Job Description

The PLC Technician will be responsible for the selection, installation, programming, documentation, training, and knowledge of all plant instrumentation and automatic devices. They will also be responsible for all computer integration as related to PLCs, HMIs, and process controls within the facility. This role serves as the plant liaison for new system start-up and commissioning by all outside controls contractors.

ResponsibilitiesExperience with pressure controls, control circuits, programmable controllers, drive units, variable frequency drives, scales, monitoring systems, sensors, and security systems in an industrial environmentExperience with Servo Motors and drivesVision System ExperiencePLC troubleshooting experienceAuto CAD experienceFollow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Follow up with outside servicesFollow up on control work done by Maintenance TechniciansTrain production operators, maintenance technicians, and managers on the operations of newly installed or modified process or utility control systems, including the documentation of operational procedures, as-built drawings, and logicFollow up with outside controls contractors and Systems Integrators to ensure they provide fully documented PLC programs and training for all Maintenance and Operations personnelInteract effectively and professionally with coworkersPerform all skills as outlined on the Skills Element TreeEssential SkillsExperience with pressure controls, control circuits, programmable controllers, drive units, variable frequency drives, scales, monitoring systems, sensors, and security systems in an industrial environmentExperience with Servo Motors and drivesVision System ExperiencePLC troubleshooting experienceAuto CAD experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with mixing, filling, packaging, casing, and palletizing equipmentAbility to interpret technical informationCollege degree or certification preferredWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a night shift position scheduled 4 days on and 4 days off, 12-hour shifts. The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently. The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally is also necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39.25 - $39.25
