Summary
PLC-SCADA technicians install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electronic equipment (including but not limited to input/output cards, variable speed drives, process control equipment) and write/edit PLC and SCADA programs for a wide variety of simple or complex automated control systems. The candidate must maintain a safe and clean work environment following all TUI/MSEX safety procedures and PPE requirements. The individual must always act in a professional and respectful manner. This position will require scheduled on call and availability for emergencies after hours, holidays and weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
+ Performs maintenance and repair for programmable logic controllers, remote terminal units, control data acquisition systems, and electronic control instruments.
+ Operates, maintains, and repairs the field equipment for SCADA system for water/wastewater plants, pump stations, sewer lift stations, and automated control systems.
+ Reads, writes, understands, and performs modifications to existing PLC code, OIT graphics and will at times need to modify existing code. Download and test software program for the PLC or OIT at the treatment plants and remote sites.
+ Configures and downloads radio programs, assembles, and installs radio equipment, reads, understands, and performs modifications to existing radio topography to maintain compatibility and consistency in the radio network.
+ Trains operations and maintenance staff on the operation of new, modified, and existing plant systems.
+ Work with the engineering department and system integrators to assist with the design, configuration, and support of PLC and OIT devices.
+ Be the point of contact for system integrators to oversee changes to field units.
+ Ensure compliance with Enterprise SCADA security policies and guidelines by system integrators and others.
+ Work with the SCADA Security Analyst to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with the SCADA environment including but not limited to the following:
+ Field device communications
+ Field device operations
+ Mismatch set points.
+ HMI screen designs
+ Troubleshoot system alarms related to security events.
+ Provide the same level of support to subsidiary operating units including but not limited to Pinelands and MWC This may include occasional travel to those locations to gain familiarity with and a working knowledge of the devices and processes in use.
+ Be able to use Enterprise Workforce Asset Management (WAM) system efficiently.
Qualifications
+ Should be proficient in programming PLC/OIT equipment using EcoStruxure Control Expert software, Wonderware and DNP3 protocol.
+ Strong working knowledge of jobsite safety.
+ Ability to troubleshoot system issues and find faults.
+ Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
+ Have knowledge and use of computer skills, including word, excel and outlook.
Education or Experience
+ Possess a high school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Knowledge and proven experience of PLC automation software, coding languages and protocols.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, can write simple correspondence and complete documentation completely and in a timely manner. Be able to effectively present information, to peers or supervision.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and perform basic algebra. Must also be able to read and use measuring devices.
