**Job Description**
**General Purpose**
PLC Technicians maintain and repair industrial control systems. They're tasked with troubleshooting programmable logic controllers, ensuring seamless automation processes, and implementing system improvements for optimal operational efficiency.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Install, program, troubleshoot and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
+ Diagnose and repair faults in PLC control systems
+ Read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings
+ Design, implement and modify PLC control systems
+ Ensure that PLC systems meet safety and quality standards, including regulatory compliance
+ Provide technical support to production personnel
+ Perform preventative maintenance on PLC systems
+ Ability and knowledge to work with legacy systems
+ Stay up to date with new technologies and advancements in PLC systems, specifically Rockwell Automation
+ VFD installation, programming, and troubleshooting
**Requirements**
**Education and Experience**
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in PLC troubleshooting and programming
+ Knowledge of PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, function block diagram, and structured text
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics
+ Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Familiarity with industrial automation systems and equipment
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
+ Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency repairs
