PLM (Windchill) Tech Architect

We are looking for a PLM Tech Architect (Windchill) to work in an exciting and a very fast-paced environment. As a PLM Tech Architect on the Polaris team, you will have the ability to work on the projects in the Windchill PLM, Thingworx, engineering applications and integrations with other enterprise applications in the PLM/Engineering group within the Digital & Information Technology function. The Architect needs to understand the business and functional requirements of the projects and architect the solutioning for the complex business cases and support the team in delivering high standard code to meet those requirements. The Architect would also be responsible for critical design/code reviews and ensure code quality, performance, reusability, scalability, and supportability of the project. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Able to work on end to end Technical Solutioning and Architecting for global PLM implementation and the integration with the Enterprise systems in Polaris + Should be accountable for end to end solution design, architecture governance, strategically aligned, provide cost effective architecture directions and solutions that adhere to platform architecture roadmaps and overall enterprise architecture strategy in Polaris + Should be able to take full ownership of the technical aspects of the project and work with business stakeholders, internal and external technical teams in delivering the solution + Work with Product Owners, Lead, System Analysts and Senior Developers to understand and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions + Experience with industry leading practices in designing PLM processes and capabilities + Support the enterprise level projects like Implementation, Upgrade, Migration, Integration, Customizations and other enhancements planned on the Windchill environment + Support the existing customizations on PTC suite of applications – Windchill PDMLink, Windchill MPMLink, FlexPLM, Thingworx, etc., and other integrations to these applications + Provide guidance and support the technical team that performs installation and configuration of Windchill software, coding, customization, GUI development, testing, debugging and deployment + Adopt best practices on software development processes and ensure that quality software engineering processes and/or methodologies are followed + Provide guidance to users and other IT staff on PTC suite of applications and its integrations + Performs other duties as assigned or required SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE **TECHNICAL SKILLS** + Good knowledge in Windchill 12.x and the newer architecture + Candidates should have experience in Windchill, Thingworx & FlexPLM APIs, Windchill Customization Methodologies (Services, JCA, Template Processors, Info*Engine, Client/Server), Workflow design & customizations, Class Extensions (i.e. Validator/Filter), REST Web services, Thingworx Navigate reports and deployments + Proficiency with systems architecture and integrations, design patterns and industry best practices + Proficiency with Java, JSP, Javascript, Ajax, XML and HTML + Proficient in standards for integration of Windchill/FlexPLM and Thingworx to ERP/MRP (SAP, D365 F&O, Infor XA, etc.,), ALM (Codebeamer, PTC Integrity, etc.,), MDM (EnterWorks), SCM, MES, middleware and other enterprise systems including reporting tools + Knowledge in data and configuration management and solution architecture of PLM systems + Experience in managing a full cycle implementation of PLM system with industry best practices + Experience in managing PLM system and integrations from CAD to PLM to other enterprise systems + Good in SQL Server management (2014 & above) with efficiency to handle queries, indexes, custom tables, etc., + Knowledge in installation and rehosting of Windchill application is preferable + Familiarity with CAD management in Windchill 12.0 and the newer architecture is preferable **OTHER SKILLS** + Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent in Information Technology/Computer Science/Software Engineering, or equivalent technical degree required + Minimum 10 years of experience in Windchill customization (version 10.x and above) + Minimum 3 years Solution Architecture experience with Windchill and PTC suite of applications + Self-directed with excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills + Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills + Ability to look beyond solving the business problem and articulate solutions with high performance + Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple project assignments + Good team player with flexibility on working hours to collaborate with counterparts + Enterprise level Program and Project management experience is preferable + Knowledge & Experience in SLM, MPMLink, Automated testing and CodeBeamer is preferred _We are an ambitious, resourceful, and driven workforce, which empowers us to THINK OUTSIDE.
