Performs a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and administrative areas. Also performs snow removal and watering of lawns. Repairs and adjusts the air and electrical equipment, using plumbing and carpentry skills. Performs preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment. Human Resource Contact: Brenda Hales /brenda.hales@wyo.gov/ 307-444-0791 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level. + Performs maintenance duties with drains and sinks as necessary hospital-wide and minor miscellaneous maintenance repair as needed or directed. + Performs custodial duties including mopping, vacuuming, window cleaning, and keeping supplies stocked in the administrative area. + Check and monitor Hospital and CUP building for normal operations and alarms. + Check water softener salt levels and perform lawn and sprinkler care. + Snow removal and ice melt applications. + Check interior and exterior doors to ensure hospital security. + Assist Security staff with any safety drills during the shift. + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications PREFERENCES: Preference will be given to applicants with general maintenance experience. KNOWLEDGE: + Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and practices of the plumbing trade. + Knowledge of state and federal plumbing codes. + Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the trade. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate's Degree Experience: 0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Plumbing) OR Education & Experience Substitution: 2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Plumbing) Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None Necessary Special Requirements PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: + Applicants must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and must be able to work in all weather conditions. NOTES: + FLSA: Non-Exempt + Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions.
