The Plumber installs, repairs and maintains plumbing, heating and electromechanical systems on campus buildings and facilities.

This is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $28.14 - $35.19 per hour.

Core Responsibilities:

Performs maintenance and repair of various facilities as indicated on daily work orders; orders materials needed to complete jobs; lays out and installs plumbing to comply with plumbing codes.   Performs testing procedures to troubleshoot electromechanical systems on campus building equipment.   Repairs and maintains laundry equipment.   Assists with installation, maintenance and repair of boilers, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning systems and gas fueled equipment.   Maintains fire protection equipment   Performs associated Facilities Services maintenance work as requested, including, but not limited to: snow removal, event set-up and clean-up, truck loading and unloading, grounds maintenance.   Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.   Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with Middlebury College and departmental policies and procedures.
