Plumber
Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, we are looking for a Plumber to work out of our Hamilton location. This role will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems. The successful applicant will be part of a team to maintain and develop an enterprise application suite that aligns with the organizations’ strategic objectives. What will you do as the Plumber
Conducting routine inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure their proper functioning. This includes identifying and repairing leaks, clogs, and other issues in a timely manner to prevent downtime and minimize disruptions to operations.Diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing problems and performing necessary repairs or replacements of damaged components. This may involve repairing or replacing valves, faucets, pipes, and other plumbing fixtures.Performs general preventive maintenance of buildings, industrial systems and equipment including pumps and various plumbing fixtures. Conducting pressure tests and leak tests to ensure the integrity and safety of plumbing systems. This includes verifying that systems meet regulatory standards and building codes.Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including installation, maintenance, and repair activities. This may involve documenting inspections, repairs, parts used, and other relevant information.Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines when working with hazardous materials or in confined spaces.Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary. Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing.Relevant experience working as a plumber in an industrial setting preferred.High school diploma or equivalent.Knowledge of industrial plumbing systems, materials, and tools.Strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.Required to work in industrial and outdoor environments. Services will be performed within Health and Safety standards and regulations. Physical requirements will range from frequent to occasional lifting, carrying, bending and reaching. The ability to work in various environmental conditions, including tight spaces and heights.Shift work may be required. Must be able to lift 34kg (75lb)
